Rolls-Royce says it secured $1.7 billion in new orders during the week.
 

July 23: UK aerospace company Rolls-Royce says it secured $1.7 billion (€1.3 billion) in new orders during the week with the Trent 700 engine being particularly successful with orders totalling more than $1 billion.

As well as its own engines, Rolls-Royce is a senior partner in International Aero Engines, which received orders for V2500 engines from Yemenia, China Southern and Vietnam Airlines, with a value to Rolls-Royce of around $470 million.

The company also won the contract to support the Canadian Air Force’s CC-130J fleet with a potential value exceeding $260 million.
